Frequently Asked Questions
Here are answers to some of the questions I get asked regularly. If you can't find the question you have here, please feel free to contact me.
I saw this light in your photo gallery or on social media, but I can't find it in your shop. Is it for sale?
The only available work I have is what is listed in my shop. Often, I only have a few lights or wings available at a time, as I make everything myself by hand, and my work tends to sell quickly. I won't make exact recreations of previously sold handmade pieces, but I do often create similar designs. Photos in the gallery here are all of past work that has previously sold, as is usually the case of photos of my work shared by others on social media sites.
Do you take custom orders, or can I order from a preexisting design?
I don't have a production line or a catalogue that customers can order from. I run my shop similar to a small art gallery, where each piece is one of a kind and once it has sold, it's gone. As flattering and wonderful as it is to have people love a specific creation and want it made over again, it just isn't something I want to do. If I made the same art over and over again, it would cease to be fun and challenging, and I would lose my passion for my work.
Very rarely, I will take on a custom order if it's for a fun and interesting project that resonates with me. I won't take orders for five matching bridesmaids lanterns, or something I've previously done, but in a different color. The rare custom order will require a non-refundable deposit and be non-returnable once delivered. I would also require a reasonable amount of time to create something for a custom design.
Do you do wholesale orders?
I am not able to do wholesale orders for handmade items, as I don't have a production line for mass producing my work.
